Angels of Hope – At Food For The Poor, we believe that every child is a precious gift from God – especially vulnerable children who long to know that they are not forgotten. They need angels here on earth to watch over them and ensure their needs are met. That’s why the Angels of Hope program was created. For many years, big-hearted donors like you have supported the most vulnerable children in Jamaica fueled by the idea that every child needs and deserves love, support and guidance.

 

Under our Angels of Hope programme, twenty-four (24) Children’s Homes are supported.  The programme reaches over eight hundred (800) precious children in State care. 

 

Statistics:

  • In 2020, FFP established the Muirton Boy’s Home and West Haven Children’s Home Water Projects that include water storage, a rainwater-catchment system and a water purification system that provides an additional 6,000 gallons of water storage capacity for each facility.
  • In 2020, FFP established the Summerfield Child Care Agriculture Project, which includes crop production and an egg-laying hen coop.
  • In 2020, FFP established the Melody House/Montego Bay Community Home for Girls Poultry Project.
